About CompareTreatments Canada

CompareTreatments Canada is an independent comparison site for Canadian telehealth. We put options against each other — treatment against treatment, clinic against clinic — across weight loss, ED care, hair loss, longevity, women's health and more, and then we say which one to pick.

Why every comparison ends in a verdict

A comparison that stops at “it depends on your needs” has not done its job. It has handed the reader the same decision they arrived with, plus a table. So every head-to-head on this site names a winner, states the reasoning, and — just as importantly — names the specific reader for whom the loser is still the right answer. Where two options are genuinely too close to separate, we say that outright rather than manufacturing a difference.

Why this site is Canada-only

Most telehealth comparison content Canadians encounter is written for the American market, and the differences are not cosmetic. Health Canada authorizes a different set of products than the FDA, so US pricing and US programs do not carry over. Telehealth is regulated provincially rather than federally, so a provider available in Ontario may not serve Quebec. Coverage, regulators and pricing are all different.

Comparing US options with the prices converted would mislead readers on the thing that matters most: whether a provider can legally treat them at all. Every comparison here is run against Canadian rules.

How we rank providers

Rankings weigh four things that genuinely differ between Canadian platforms:

• All-in cost in CAD — the consultation, the medication at a realistic dose, any membership fee and shipping, not the advertised headline price.
• Provincial coverage — which provinces are actually served, and whether Quebec is included.
• Clinical model — whether clinicians are licensed by a provincial College, whether a real assessment is required, and how often follow-up happens.
• Pharmacy model — in-house dispensing versus a third-party transfer, which is where most refill delays originate.

We do not rank on payment. A provider cannot buy a position, and we publish nothing in a category until we have verified availability — which is why several categories on this site are still marked as in editorial testing rather than filled with placeholders.

Some links on this site are affiliate links. If you visit a provider through one and become a customer, we may receive compensation at no additional cost to you. That funds the research and keeps the site free. It does not change our rankings, and it does not change the price you pay.
